FINDER! The amazing sample organiser

All you do is place your sample into a rack, then enter the sample number into Finder! When you want to find the sample again, ask Finder!, and it will tell you where it's stored. Brilliant, but simple. This is a real time-saver because it isn't necessary to store the samples in order, as Finder! knows where they are.

The full working version has lots of little features to help your day along, such as:

a check for duplicate samples

a trap for numbers outside a set range, e.g. between 10,000 and 500,000

Barcode or keyboard entry

Unlimited number of racks

Rack size up to 100 tube capacity

Data backup and restore

Will run on most PC's from a slow 386 up, as it's not a Windows program

Can I try it out for free?

Yes.

To download a limited but working version of Finder!, click on finda.exe (approx. 200k).

To run the Finder! Limited Edition:

create a new directory

move FINDA.EXE to it

run FINDA.EXE to extract the quick start guide (README.TXT) and Limited Edition program files.

The limited edition has the following restrictions:

Limited to 30 days use

Cannot use bar-code readers connected to serial ports

Maximum of 5 racks
